PRESS-NEWS JOURNAL, I I Card of Thanks I Thank You Canton[ How do you find the appropriate way to thank people for their kindness, caring, love and generos- ity? Or is it appropriate to thank people for who and how they are? How do you find words to convey your deepest gratitude? I ponder upon these questions, because I am stunned at the refresh- ing spirit of kindness and good will that all of you have demonstrated to me. When the article, so well written by Mr. Dan Stein: beck, about my failed at- tempt to become a citizen of the United States was published, many of. you came to me with words of encouragement and empa- thy for what I was going through. Many of you gave me financial help. "Thanks" seems a very little word to convey my gratitude, and yet I give you my thanks for lack of a more meaningful word. I give you thanks with a promise, that I will extend that kindness and gener- osity to others as I have learned from you. I'd like to thank The Canton Press-News Jour- nal, Canton Christian Church, The Java Shack, The Eagles Lodge and the Women's Auxiliary, the Craft Masonic Lodge and several private citizens for your generous support. I reapplied for citizen- ship Tuesday, January 6. Thank you for your help, and thank you for making me feel part of the Canton family. God bless you. Ruth C.
